MMBC Gate App

Use the gate app from your phone.

The MMBC Gate app lets members open the gate from a phone while connected to the MMBC Member WiFi. You can also add it to your home screen so it opens like a normal app.

Important: Gate control is intended to work only while connected to the MMBC Member WiFi. If you are on cellular data, guest WiFi, or another network, the gate page may not load.

First-time registration

  1. Connect to MMBC Member WiFiRegistration should be done while you are at the club and connected to the MMBC Member WiFi.
  2. Open the Gate AppGo to mmbcgate.us in your phone browser.
  3. Tap Register or Create AccountIf you already have an account, use the normal login instead.
  4. Enter your member informationFill in the information requested by the app. Use your real name so administrators can verify the account if needed.
  5. Create your loginChoose your login information and save it somewhere safe. Do not share your gate login with non-members.
  6. Submit the registrationAfter registering, return to the login screen and sign in to use the gate controls.
Registration tip If the app says the page cannot be reached, your phone is probably not on the MMBC Member WiFi. Reconnect to WiFi and try again.

How the front end works

The Gate App is a phone-friendly web page. It is not downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Adding it to your Home Screen simply creates a shortcut to the gate page.

Login screenUse your registered login information. If your phone offers to save the password, you can allow it for faster access later.
Gate control screenAfter logging in, use the gate button only when you are at the club and need access.
Status messagesThe app may show whether the request was sent, failed, or if you are not connected to the correct network.
Home Screen iconThe icon opens the same gate web page. You still need to be connected to MMBC Member WiFi for gate control.
Security reminder The gate system is limited to the private MMBC Member WiFi network. The public instructions page works anywhere, but the gate control page is intended to work only while connected at the club.

iPhone

  1. Connect to MMBC Member WiFiOpen Settings → Wi-Fi and connect to the MMBC Member WiFi network.
  2. Open SafariGo to mmbcgate.us while connected to the member WiFi.
  3. Add it to your Home ScreenTap the Share button, then tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Use it like an appTap the MMBC Gate icon on your Home Screen whenever you are at the club and connected to WiFi.

Android

  1. Connect to MMBC Member WiFiOpen Wi-Fi settings and connect to the MMBC Member WiFi network.
  2. Open ChromeGo to mmbcgate.us while connected to the member WiFi.
  3. Add it to your Home screenTap the three-dot menu, then tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
  4. Use it from the Home screenTap the MMBC Gate icon when you are at the club and connected to WiFi.

Troubleshooting

The gate page will not load.

Make sure your phone is connected to MMBC Member WiFi, not cellular data or guest WiFi.

I see a WiFi warning page.

That means your phone is not reaching the private gate network. Connect to MMBC Member WiFi and try again.

I added it to my Home Screen but it still does not work.

The Home Screen icon is just a shortcut. You still need to be connected to the MMBC Member WiFi when using it.

The button does not work.

Refresh the page, confirm WiFi connection, and try again. If the problem continues, ask a club officer for help.
